The M9 Bayonet from the Ontario Knife Company, which was adopted in 1984 as a replacement for the M7 Bayonet, is the real deal, just like the M9 Bayonet that was issued to our military. In contrast to other 1095 carbon steel options, the M9 has a maintenance-free 420 stainless steel blade that is far less prone to rust and has saw teeth milled into the spine, making it far less prone to rust. This knife has a textured nylon handle that provides excellent grip in any situation. In addition to having a snap closure strap, the included scabbard also has a hole that interfaces with the M9 blade to create a functional set of wire cutters.
It complies with US Military Specifications.
